Has pretty good flavor. I used ground beef instead of beef sirloin because it was all I had, only information technology still worked well.
06/30/2009
I used left over Tri-tip, added sliced fresh mushrooms and about two tablespoons Worchestershire sauce, and I used a can of Golden Mushroom soup instead of the Cream of Mushroom Soup. Very tasty! Came together in no time and it's a great left-over make-over recipe!!! No i in the family volition eat left-overs so I accept to be cleaver and disguise left-overs and turn them into something new. This fooled everyone at the table, no 1 suspected that I used left-over Tri-tip in this dish. I'one thousand so sneaky :+)
02/06/2009
Very yummy and oh so quick and piece of cake! First batch was a picayune thick; I think next fourth dimension I volition add water or beef goop until it'due south a preferred consistency. Will definitely make this again and again.
05/25/2010
My husband loved this dish! I only gave it 4 considering I modified it slightly: I doubled the reciped, I substituted ground beef for the round steak (only I only used but a piddling over a pound), I didn't add together the flour, I added 1/4 c. of milk (it would have been too thick), and I used cavatappi instead of egg noodles. Much easier to handle and the sauce clung very well to them. All in all, a good recipe, I volition try it again, but I'll add some fresh sauteed mushroom, some peas, and possibly substitute roasted chicken for the beef!
11/22/2008
Quick and like shooting fish in a barrel recipe! I used 2 cans of the cream of mushroom, used 1 cup of fat-free sour cream added black pepper and garlic herb spice and it was superb! Will definitely make once again!
01/thirteen/2011
I would requite iii 1/2 to 4 stars for the flavor, only combined with the ease to make, that definitely bumps it upward to a 5 star recipe. I make with frozen meatballs for a super fast meatball stroganoff that's ready to consume in under 20 mins!
01/02/2011
This also works with ground beef or ground turkey. I too add a nuance of worchestershire and a little dried basil and if it's likewise thick, a little beef broth. If I have information technology, I like to add a cup or then of sliced fresh mushrooms when I saute the onion. It's a lot like the SOS that I grew up with equally a kid. It's great over mashed potatoes or fresh fluffy biscuits.
08/04/2011
Tasty and eastward version of the archetype. I skipped the sour cream as I had none but it would have been improve if I had added it. Yet, a yummy dish. The round steak took forever to get tender, though. I simmered it in beef stock and information technology cooked for almost an 60 minutes!
02/09/2008
This was very piece of cake to make and tasted great. The just change I made was I used ground turkey instead of beefiness strips. Will brand again.
03/29/2014
This recipe? Bland and blander... I tried the one/2 foam of mushroom, 1/2 gilded mushroom combination. I added a bit of Worcestershire sauce (as some reviewers suggested). I'm actually unsure how this recipe has then many positive reviews. Perhaps it'due south me.
03/10/2011
Easy weeknight dinner!
02/23/2012
First-class recipe (fabricated mine in the crockpot... And when I served it to my family sprinkled information technology westward/French'due south onions... TOTAL oversupply pleaser!
03/18/2009
Pretty skillful! I followed the recipe pretty shut, but added some seasoning to the meat when browning and also added some fresh mushrooms that I had sauteed in garlic for the actress veggies. That gave it that extra something it would have needed. Everything else was verbal and I served over whole wheat rotini. Its going in my recipe box for sure!
04/15/2012
Would non recommend. I did not intendance for this.
ten/thirteen/2011
Considering I don't eat meat, I replaced the beef with fresh portabella mushrooms, and added some broccoli. Delish!
05/21/2010
Fast & easy..i did add a dash of salt and pepper...but information technology was groovy...even my son liked it...Volition make again. I made enough for leftovers, much to my surprise...there were none! So it was a hit!
05/04/2009
pretty tasty.
06/23/2014
Quick, piece of cake, and tasty! I marinated the steak in a tad of salt, vegetable oil, and Worcestershire sauce for an hr before cooking in the fridge. The meat was actually tender.
06/10/2013
I did this using stewing beefiness for the meat and served it with quinoa (I didn't have any regular pasta on hand.). I liked how simple it was. The flavour and consistency were skillful. For me this recipe gets bonus points for having few ingredients, all of which were readily available in my kitchen when I needed a quick dinner in a pinch. I'll probably utilise this again, though perhaps not too ofttimes because it is somewhat rich. :)
09/20/2008
I love this recipe. Super easy and quick. I too apply ground turkey, but I add fresh sauteed garlic for a footling extra kick.
08/08/2008
Very good my family loved it.
11/26/2010
Couple of suggestions: two cans of cream of mushroom, added 1 beefiness burgoo cube with 1/four milk which fabricated it more ceamy and more flavor. Will make once again!
01/16/2014
Fantastic! I used leftover tri tip, some water, beefy onion soup mix and cayenne pepper. I was so succulent!!!
ten/10/2010
Followed recipe but made these changes: Increased cream of mushroom soup to 2 cans, 1tsp paprike, added viii oz canned mushrooms, 2tbls Worcestershire sauce, 1tsp garlic powder, ane/ii tsp salt, pepper to taste, and near 1c sour cream. Side by side time I'd love to try with fresh mushrooms but canned is all I had on mitt.
12/06/2014
It doesn't taste terrible but I would not brand this again. It just tastes similar mushroom soup on noodles. I'g removing this one from my recipe box.
12/22/2009
This was very practiced and fast to the table too. I used some other half tin can of soup though every bit information technology was really thick and added a splash of milk. I stirred the pasta right in. My family loved this dish. I used ground beefiness instead. Thanks!
11/25/2013
For how fast and like shooting fish in a barrel it was, this is a five-star recipe. I sauteed a minor chopped onion and a handful of fresh mushrooms and used ground beef. I also tossed my cooked egg noodles with butter and parsley. I served it with steamed broccoli and yeast rolls, and we really enjoyed it. Thank you, Campbell'due south! :)
12/15/2010
This was very fast and super easy to make! It but took me less than 30 mins to make it... as long as it takes to boil the noodles. I used ground beef that I precooked and froze from the freezer, so it made it that much easier! I also added a tin can of sliced mushrooms, yummy!
07/22/2014
This is a quick fashion to make beef stroganoff on a decorated night but the taste is the tradeoff. This is passable, and I may return to it when I take a craving but don't have much time, merely it lacks the depth of flavor.
03/28/2010
i didnt mensurate out the egg noodles, just used a whole 12 oz parcel. and instead of topping the sauce over the noodles, i mixed it into the noodles which was not a good idea every bit in that location was non plenty sauce to glaze the noodles! next time i will double the sauce mixture. too used ground beef since its more economic and thinned out the sauce with a little beef goop.
03/xiv/2012
I am giving this a 4 star due to groovy bones and easy recipe. However for mine I did employ the sirloin and the sour foam. I doubled the soup and added 1 tbs. worcestershire. And I added one soup can of h2o (too thick). Also when yous read the directions (if I read them right) in that location is no need to carve up annihilation. Using the steak I used it created wonderful juices and I cooked the onion with the steak and seasoned well. I kept it together to go on the flavor. Easier and better! I also added peas to the plates with my non picky eaters :) Tasted great and anybody loved!
02/05/2014
This is a keeper. Added 2tsp of Worchester Sauce. Might increase it next time.
02/14/2012
I did not care for this! Might as well brand a bowl of Foam of Mushroom and add together steak. The mushroom flavor is overwhelming and not one of my kids liked it. Waste of practiced steak!
02/13/2011
This came out very well. What I really needed was a adept guide line of ingredients, and an lodge to brand the dish. Later that I add or take as needed. Only on this one I followed it, and I was actually surprised as to how good it came out. All-time of all, it was quick. My family loved it. Thanks again.
06/03/2014
I was preparing one of the ground beef helpers with double meat, which I seasoned well with dried minced onion and steak seasoning, and needed more sauce and I chose this recipe to supplement and was soon surorised. Information technology's was actually too thick so I added a little milk and Worcestershire sauce resulting in a very good flavorful sauce. I will continue this in my recipe repertoire
03/15/2012
This was very quick to make. It's probably not more hard than classic stroganoff, but less fourth dimension consuming and you can make it when you lot don't have fresh ingredients. Reading the other reviews I meet many of us made similar alterations with better results. one. ii cans of soup ( I used 1 can cream of chicken and one tin can cream of mushroom) ii. more seasonings (seriously) I used garlic powder, parmesan cheese and fresh ground pepper. I also used yogurt and the whole pocketbook of noodles. Yummy. I would make this again with the add-on of fresh mushrooms.
05/27/2012
I sauted fresh mushrooms with the onions depression and slow until they caramelized. Then I added my basis beef and cooked through. I too added a tablespoon of worchesterchire sauce for kick. Information technology was delicious!
10/22/2010
I must take done something wrong because this was non skillful at all.
03/07/2015
Actually proficient
10/22/2013
I can't even requite this A Star it was so bad. Fifty-fifty used the golden mushroom soup :( I don't know what happened merely non adept. Volition perchance order a pizza now.
05/26/2010
I've been using this recipe for years. It's a great stand by, quick weeknight meal, and skilful comfort food. The only thing I change is the foam of mushroom soup, I'm allergic to mushrooms and so I substitute cream of chicken or celery or whatever I happen to take on hand. Dried minced onion tin be substituted for the onion (this also cuts down the prep time if you're in a bustle)
05/26/2010
It was a quick and piece of cake recipe only I had to alter it then much to make the sauce the right consistency and added extra spices because information technology was so banal. Sorry won't be making this one again.
01/02/2011
I grew upwardly with this dinner, and then when my swain visited I thought it would exist squeamish to make it. I followed the recipe exactly and it was just o.k. It tasted alright, but was on the bland side. Not how I ever remembered information technology.
05/10/2010
I've made this twice now. The first time, i made it equally written, and it was peachy. 2nd time, i added a clove of garlic and 1/ii a green pepper, chopped, when the onions were most done. (I similar light-green pepper slightly crunchy, not mushy, so i simply sauteed them for a few minutes.) Once more, it was very good. Easy ingredients, and quick to make. Perfect for a busy mum like me!
07/27/2012
Huge hit with the family!!
11/02/2013
disappointing, very bland.
01/21/2015
cypher special most this. no flavour
05/ten/2010
Quick & piece of cake to brand.
01/25/2013
Besides thick and pretty banal. could work in a pinch but it needs lots of doctoring upwards to get it to have any flavor.
07/08/2009
Loved the season! I do recommend marinating the beef the nighttime earlier cooking because it was a lilliputian tough. Only overall a great dish.
09/26/2012
This recipe is my Granddaughter's favorite! I accept to make this every time she visits. Information technology'south piece of cake and tastes sooooooo practiced!
11/26/2010
Couple of suggestions: ii cans of cream of mushroom, added i beef bouillon cube with i/4 milk which made it more ceamy and more than flavor. Will make again!
11/08/2015
It tasted great b iv adding the mushroom soup. I marinated the beef in a strong beef base/beef stock. After browning the steak and sauteing the onion, I put aside, then added the beef base mixture and some cornstarch to the pan to thicken. And then add back the meat/onions and sour cream. I forgot the soup but it tasted smashing and wondered if I should just go out the soup out. Well, I added it and made it taste banal. I'll add more than worchester.
09/15/2020
Disappointed
x/23/2017
Ok base, but needed a lot more seasonings. Subbed aureate mushroom and added garlic and sharp cheddar and information technology was better...
x/09/2012
My hubby loved information technology. I doubled recipe, added salt, pepper,&emerils "BAM" seasoning plus garlic.Higher up seasonings were added to ea.layer plus coated noodles with butter & added existent mushrooms.Ate west/ garlic bread & YUM!
01/04/2013
We had this this evening and it reminded me of dishes I used to make in the 70's. My husband, a meat and potatoes guy, loved it only me, not so much. It was merely O.Chiliad. It was very thick so I added water later I'd added the soup. I won't make this one again.
10/22/2010
I must have washed something wrong considering this was not practiced at all.
10/05/2013
Nosotros prefer stew meat and beef broth instead of water for a more intense flavor. I too slice my onions thick so they do not cook down and become invisible. I accept tried this both means and this is our preference as a family. I have made a double recipe for family dinners with a large salad, glazed carrots, hot rolls and our favorite dessert. My family unit loves me even more when I cook this delicious meal!
03/26/2010
This ane was really good. I added a little more sour cream to arrive creamer and some lemon juice and a fleck of franks red hot sauce to requite it a bit of a seize with teeth.
02/27/2009
I have been using this recipe for years. It is 1 of my hubby'due south favorites. Its economic & fast. I utilize the fat free soup & nobody can tell the divergence.
03/xiii/2013
I actually apply the crock pot and slowly melt the beef (unremarkably a pot roast) and add the soup in the last hour or so. I also Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth! Very Yummy
06/08/2009
I cook vegetarian and then used Worthington Tender Rounds instead of meat. I followed the rest of the recipe as follows and it turned out bang-up. Accept fabricated again.
02/14/2017
I love this recipe. Quick, easy and very tasty. I will sometimes use lean ground beef in this recipe and add 1/2 loving cup of sliced green peppers.
08/02/2009
Very Skillful, just sauce is too thick. Recipe is enough or two. Another review suggested beef broth, use at to the lowest degree 1/2c. Also endeavor using onion soup mix instead, otherwise an excellent stroganoff!!!:)
08/03/2009
This is then basic and easy, fifty-fifty my picky child liked it. *snicker* He thought the portabello mushrooms I added were beef! I used VERY sweet onions and practically burned them giving it a rich sweet flavour. I agree that the sauce is too thick, however afterward I added a little Worcestershire sauce, I call up it was fine. I think the proportions I used were: a big can (it said '45% more than') of Campbells Cream of Mushroom soup and virtually a cup (maybe more?) of full fatty sour cream.
03/14/2017
quick and easy and great tasting.
07/05/2010
Very easy. Thank you for all the tips! I used ground venison. I practise non apply any oil. I added fresh garlic and a can of mushrooms. Very practiced!
03/05/2010
I have been making Stroganoff this style for years. Super Piece of cake and Delicious! I employ veggie crumbles to brand it vegetarian for me and use basis beefiness for the husband. Sometimes I use fresh mushrooms, sometimes canned, whatever I have time for. I ever throw some garlic (a clove or ii) in with onion and meat. Other than that I make it exactly as written.
10/16/2012
Love this recipe! Instead of the beef I used canned venison and it was out of this world amazing!!
07/21/2016
This is a great recipe .. i just added some fresh mushrooms and fried all the steak, mushrooms and onions together .. and awesomeness ensued. Also added some soul nutrient seasoning as well. And ill definitely be making this over again.
07/24/2010
This is an amazingly easy and satisfying dish!
04/17/2016
I didn't brand any changes. this recipe was way to dry out. I do not see myself making this again
10/28/2009
I made this for dinner yesterday, information technology is really adept! I added a small container of fresh sliced mushrooms to the ingredients, that is the just affair I did differently than what is called for. The husband loved it and it has officially been added to the rotation list
01/31/2013
I've made this quite a few times, and it's actually a good base of operations. As is, information technology is pretty tasty and definitely worth making. To brand it extra good, I add some more than mushrooms when cooking the onions, and so add in most 1 tbsp of mustard and a chip of worcestershire sauce. And at present I love it!
01/07/2010
Surprisingly very good. Family really enjoyed.
xi/28/2012
I make this ALL the time, so easy and succulent!
07/sixteen/2016
We thought information technology was skilful. I added a adept corporeality of garlic pulverization, s &p & Worcestershire sauce to the meat & then to the onions. Tasty! Served with parm cheese
06/18/2017
I empathise this is 'base of operations' recipe. Having used allllll the ingredients, I am i of those who like to add things, I.due east. Sweet peas and carrots. I used beef cubes cut into smaller sizes and marinated them a few hours prior to shaking them in flour and adding to olive oil. In the finish, I drained the noodles and mixed everything together. My taste-tester hubby said it has neat flavour! Happy Father's Mean solar day! Next, I'm making an apple pie-bfilling crisp/dump block found on my go-to recipe app which is right here! (as I was working on this recipe, I marinaded the apples in cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
02/05/2018
My family loves this dish. I use basis beefiness or mutton making it a quick and easy 'go to' on nights when I'grand pinched for fourth dimension and have no supper ideas.
12/15/2018
This was not a reminiscence of the beef stroganoff I've ever eaten earlier! It was besides runny, didn't have any flavor of the sour cream, and just by and large wasn't good! Even my hubby, who tin can eat anything, didn't care much for it. I think I will go along on looking for a good recipe
11/11/2019
Added Lipton recipe secrets (i/2 pouch) and used footing beef over rice.
06/04/2018
Yeah, I used iii cans of Foam of Mushroom Soup, 1/ii cup 2% milk, ii pounds of thin sliced round steak, probably a ane/4to 1/8th inch thick cut into two bite size pieces and I added one small can of Mushrooms, chopped. Admittedly delicious and fed 6 people with a small corporeality left over.
